Getafe FC boosted their hopes of qualifying for the
Champions League after a 2-1 home victory against fellow European hopefuls Real
Sociedad FC in mouth watering game.
Forward Jaime Mata put Getafe in front as he converted from
the penalty spot in the 20th minute time to gift his team the first goal.
Real Sociedad got their equalizer in 10 minutes after the break as former Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj scored his 3rd league goal of the season.
Mata completed his duology with seven minutes remaining
as he nutmegged the keeper from a very tight angle to help Getafe earn their first
victory since March this year.
Getafe FC are now fifth in the standings on 52 points, two
behind Sevilla FC, while Real Sociedad slumped to a fourth successive defeat
and remained seventh on 47 points.
